Green light for take-off!
I was pretty pleased with myself when arriving at the airport I had just under the required weight, having properly planned to wear my heavier clothes J. The stress was still a little high though as Fanny’s bags were a little overweight, but through the first check in we made it. With one more weighing to go, this time for the hand baggage, some intelligent redistribution of the goods, mainly somehow fitting some random place we made it through the gates.
Once inside, we realized our fruit juice (that is bottled in a glass bottle) had gone missing. Where did it go? When? How? Upon reflection, Fanny asserted that it in fact was left in her travel bag that was now on it’s way to the airplanes belly…would it make it out in one piece? Or would her clothes have the lovely smell of pineapple, mango and banana, (mmm, fruity)? Surprisingly everything arrived on time and in one piece. We were ready to visit Malaga (the others were arriving three hours later). Bought our tickets, and with 1min until the train arrived, we were feeling lucky.
On our way to the center, we were informed to get out one stop earlier than Malaga center….why? Clearly the women at the tourist desk must have had a long night, as the train goes straight into the center without having to change…upon asking the friendly man at the exit where we could leave our baggage, our question was answered with, you must go back one stop…ah. No worries, he said, go back in and take that train.
We managed to scout out the baggage lockers, left our bags and headed toward the center. Sun and wind made it a nice but sometimes chilly stroll. Malaga has a charming city center, which can be enjoyed in 3 hours.
Back at the airport, we waited for the others to arrive. They finally exited 50min after their plane landed, the reason – the poles were missing!
